Interior vs. exterior window cleaning: what should your quote include?

Choose the sides of the glass first
Window-cleaning quotes are easier to understand when the scope is clear. Exterior-only service focuses on the outside of the glass. Inside-and-out service includes both surfaces. Neither name, by itself, tells you whether screens, tracks and frames are included.
If you are unsure what you need, stand inside and look through a few windows in natural light. Marks on the room-facing surface call for interior cleaning. Outside buildup calls for exterior cleaning. When both surfaces need attention, an inside-and-out quote is the straightforward choice.
Glass, screens and tracks are different tasks
Glass cleaning is about the view through the pane. Screen cleaning addresses the removable mesh in front of it. Track cleaning deals with the channel around an opening window, while frame cleaning focuses on the surrounding surfaces.

Compare the result and the scope
When comparing quotes, check that they cover the same sides, windows and extra tasks. A lower exterior-only price cannot tell you the cost of a complete inside-and-out visit. Likewise, a glass-only quote should not be compared with one that also includes screens and tracks.
